Softball Recap: Whitney Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Whitney won against Woodcreek last Tuesday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Whitney Wildcats never let the Roseville Tigers get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The victory was just business as usual for the Wildcats, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Paige Tamblyn looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Emma Rabe, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Flindt, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one triple.

Whitney's record now sits at 3-0. As for Roseville, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Whitney will square off against Rocklin at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Rocklin's pitching crew has only allowed 0.8 runs per game this season, so Whitney's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Roseville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Oakmont at 3:30 p.m. on March 5th.
