Baseball Recap: Mount Dora Has No Trouble Against Atlantic

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bishop Moore, Mount Dora was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Atlantic Sharks 8-1. The Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Sharks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Jacob James, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Macinness, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Mount Dora's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Atlantic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season.

Mount Dora does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Atlantic, they will head out on the road to take on North Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sharks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Colts have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
