After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northwest, the Kingsville Tigers were happy to have found some success on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Bronaugh 34-32.
Despite the defeat, Bronaugh saw an underclassman step up: Jada Brundridge scored five points along with 11 steals and six assists. Gretchen Banes was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Kingsville's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12. As for Bronaugh, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kingsville will square off against the Bobcats on Thursday. As for Bronaugh, they will head out on the road to face off against the Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Chilhowee will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
