The Atlantic Collegiate Academy Armada waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 74-63 victory over Augusta Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Jamie Brooks continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Justin Bellamy, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Atlantic Collegiate Academy is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. As for Augusta Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.
Atlantic Collegiate Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against San Jose Prep at 5:40 p.m. on January 27th. San Jose Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 180th in Florida, while Atlantic Collegiate Academy is ranked 15th in South Carolina). As for Augusta Christian, they will be playing at home against Hammond at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
