After a string of six wins, St. David's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Benson Bobcats by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.
Paisley Gooding paced St. David's offense, picking up seven kills. Gooding got some help from Zoey Mudge and her 13 assists. Austyn Hatch controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
St. David's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Benson, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-4.
