Baseball Recap: White Station Drops Highest Score of Season Against Germantown

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask White Station). They were the clear victors by a 23-4 margin over the Germantown Red Devils on Tuesday. Considering the Spartans have won 11 contests by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Benjamin Mendez was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. White Station is undefeated when Mendez posts two or more runs, but 9-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Julian Haddad, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

White Station was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .565. Their batting average was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .429 that Germantown posted.

White Station's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-10. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.7 runs over those games. As for Germantown, they now have a losing record of 11-12.
