After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Delano, the St. Francis Fighting Saints were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They blew past Milaca 81-48 on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as St. Francis also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Milaca lost, one person who can't be blamed is Samson Trigg. Despite the final result, he scored six points. Another player making a difference was Ben Berg, who scored eight points.
Milaca struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
St. Francis' win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Milaca, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Francis' road trip will continue as they head out to face Becker at 5:30 p.m. on December 14th. Hopefully Becker focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday. As for Milaca, they will head out on the road to face off against Little Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Little Falls is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
