The Kennedy Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by Encinal 69-34. Kennedy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Encinal apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.
Kennedy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Desmond Johnson, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Jerry Graham, who scored eight points.
Kennedy's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-12. As for Encinal, their win bumped their record up to 2-10.
Kennedy will head out on the road to face off against El Cerrito at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. El Cerrito is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Encinal, they will be playing at home against Hayward at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Averaging 58.3 so far this season, Hayward's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Encinal better be ready for a challenge.
