After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Arizona Lutheran Academy, the NFL Yet Academy Eagles were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 65-51 victory over Maryvale Prep.
NFL Yet Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from ABEL RUIZ, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was EUDY LARA-CASTILLO, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
NFL Yet Academy's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13. As for Maryvale Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
NFL Yet Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Trivium Prep at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Trivium Prep comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Maryvale Prep on the road again on Monday and play against Antelope at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th. Antelope will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
