Ingalls won the last time they faced Deerfield, and Jill Schmeeckle did her part to make sure it happened again. The Ingalls Bulldogs blew past the Deerfield Spartans 50-21 on Monday thanks in part to Schmeeckle, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 14 points in addition to seven steals and six boards. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2023.
The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Stein, who posted eight points and ten rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last three times she's played.
The win made it two in a row for Ingalls and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Deerfield, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Ingalls will venture away from home to square off against Ashland on December 17th. As for Deerfield, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Moscow at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
