The Jordan-Elbridge Eagles will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Hannibal Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on December 20th. Hopefully Jordan-Elbridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Monday.
Even though Jordan-Elbridge has not done well against Cazenovia recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. The stars were shining brightly for Jordan-Elbridge in a 54-39 victory over Cazenovia.
Jordan-Elbridge relied on the efforts of Abbie Ahern, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Ava Hildebrant, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds. The matchup was Hildebrant's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Erin Lavancha was another key contributor, scoring three points along with 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, everything went Hannibal's way against Solvay on Wednesday as Hannibal made off with a 51-30 victory. The win was just what Hannibal needed coming off of a 52-25 loss in their prior game.
Jordan-Elbridge now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hannibal, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Jordan-Elbridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Hannibal in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 49-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jordan-Elbridge since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
