Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Turpin Cardinals walked away with it. They blew past the Whippets 57-34. Turpin has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 23 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Carson Peters, who scored 14 points. Jhett Huffman was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
The victory (which was Turpin's fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points per game. As for Okeene, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-15.
Turpin will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Laverne at 2:30 p.m. on February 15th. Turpin has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 341 points over their last five contests. Okeene does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
