When it comes to explaining why Archbishop Bergan lost, one person who can't be blamed is Claire Mlnarik. Despite the final result, she scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Archbishop Bergan struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
It was another big night for Tatum Krikac, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals for St. Cecilia. Ryann Sabatka was another key contributor, scoring six points.
This is the second loss in a row for Archbishop Bergan and nudges their season record down to 9-6. As for St. Cecilia, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Archbishop Bergan will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Stars at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Kearney Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Tuesday. As for St. Cecilia, they will face off against the Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Grand Island Central Catholic is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games.
