Litchfield is 2-8 against Carlinville since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Litchfield Purple Panthers will look to defend their home court against the Carlinville Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. Litchfield has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28.
Last Monday, Litchfield came up short against Southwestern and fell 32-24.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Emma Diveley, who scored ten points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Daphney Hartel, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought match, but Carlinville had to settle for a 46-44 defeat against Staunton on Monday. Carlinville has struggled against Staunton recently, as their match on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Litchfield dropped their record down to 3-24 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Carlinville, their loss dropped their record down to 22-7.
