Softball Recap: Knoch Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Knoch made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Indiana, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Knights put the hurt on the Little Indians with a sharp 16-1 victory on Wednesday. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Emersyn Jones, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. McKenna Brailey was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

Knoch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indiana only posted an OBP of .348.

The win was the sixth in a row for Knoch, bringing their record up to 7-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.2 runs on average over those games. As for Indiana, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Knoch will host Highlands at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Indiana, they will challenge Freeport at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Little Indians are facing the Yellowjackets at the right time seeing as the Yellowjackets are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
