On Saturday, Avoca-Prattsburgh was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 59-53 to Byron-Bergen. Avoca-Prattsburgh has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Avoca-Prattsburgh saw an underclassman step up: Jaeden Crowder scored 25 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Macoy Putnam, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Avoca-Prattsburgh has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Byron-Bergen, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Avoca-Prattsburgh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Byron-Bergen, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against East Rochester at 7:00 p.m.
