The Desert Oasis Diamondbacks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 12th straight loss. They took a hard 65-48 fall against Faith Lutheran. If Desert Oasis hoped to take revenge for the 54-36 defeat against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Faith Lutheran's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Raina Forgue, who scored 24 points along with two steals. Forgue continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Emma Herpin was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.
Desert Oasis bumped their record down to 3-13 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Faith Lutheran, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Desert Oasis will face off against Democracy Prep Agassi Campus at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Faith Lutheran will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Centennial at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. One thing working in Centennial's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches.
