Carver A&T was handed a heart-breaking two-run  defeat in their last  contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Old Mill  on Wednesday. The Carver A&T Wildcats put the hurt on the Old Mill Patriots with a sharp  10-1 victory. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.
 Lily Anderson and  Lily Dennis were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Anderson   struck out six batters over  two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and only one walk). Meanwhile,  Dennis   pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. At bat,  Anderson  scored a  run and  stole  Three bases., while  Dennis  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Emelyse Carney, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jayde Smith, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  triple and one  RBI.
The  win  got Carver A&T back to even at 1-1. As for Old Mill, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Coming up, Carver A&T will take on Catonsville at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Old Mill, they are headed away from home for the first time to  face off against  Northeast  at 4:45  p.m.  on Friday. The  matchup will  give Old Mill their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
