It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past Aucilla Christian 49-14 at home. Considering Port St. Joe has won six matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
It was another big night for Devin Cuttino, who threw for 152 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Chance Gainer, who picked up 85 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Port St. Joe has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Aucilla Christian, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-2.
Port St. Joe will head out on the road to face off against Blountstown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Blountstown will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Aucilla Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
