After a string of six wins, the Wise Pumas's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell to Bowie 62-58. Wise has not had much luck with Bowie recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Pumas players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marcus Rustin, who scored 12 points. Rasan Golatt was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Wise's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3. As for Bowie, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Wise will head out on the road to face off against DuVal at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. DuVal has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 180 points over their last three matches. As for Bowie, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bladensburg at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
