New Holstein has gone 9-1 against Two Rivers recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Huskies will be playing at home against the Raiders at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (New Holstein 3.2, Two Rivers 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
New Holstein proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by nine) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 victory over Oakfield. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Oaks: they've now won five in a row.
Makya Pendleton was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2025. Delaney Goebel was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Two Rivers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-2 to Valders, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Anna Klein was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Two Rivers saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reagan Stalter, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple was Stalter's first of the season.
New Holstein's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Two Rivers, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
New Holstein's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Huskies have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Two Rivers, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will New Holstein continue to outrun the ball?
New Holstein beat Two Rivers 4-1 when the teams last played on April 7th. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
