Hicksville won the last time they faced Delta, and things went their way  in Saturday's  second game too. The Hicksville Aces narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past the Delta Panthers  7-5. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Hicksville.

 Like Hicksville, Delta also got a great game from a two-way player:  Mackenzie Clapp. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Clapp has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than six  innings in four consecutive pitching appearances. Clapp was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4.
 Clapp wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Jasey Spiess, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Kate Friess, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances.
 Even though they lost, Delta  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hicksville struck out six times.
 Hicksville now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Delta, they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-6.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hicksville's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Edon at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Hicksville is facing Edon at the right time seeing as Edon is stuck on  a  six-game losing streak. As for Delta, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bryan at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
