Volleyball Recap: Nokomis Picks Up Third Consecutive Win + How To Watch

Nokomis had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Gillespie Miners by a score of 2-0. The Redskins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Miners, too.

Nokomis easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19.

Mackenzie Mehochko paced Nokomis' offense, picking up 13 kills. Mehochko got some help from Kinley Stolte and her 23 assists. Grace King and Maddison Dewerff kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Nokomis' win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Gillespie, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Nokomis will challenge Shelbyville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gillespie, they will face off against Bunker Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
