It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but The KIPP Northeast Navigators ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They managed a 26-20 victory over KIPP Houston. The win made it back-to-back wins for KIPP Northeast.
KIPP Houston's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kendall Blaylock, who threw for 115 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Eric James, who gained 85 total yards and a touchdown.
KIPP Northeast's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for KIPP Houston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
KIPP Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now. KIPP Houston will be playing at home against KIPP Generations Collegiate at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. KIPP Generations Collegiate comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
