The Bayshore Bruins will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Lakewood Ranch Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Bayshore got themselves on the board against Marco Island Academy, but Marco Island Academy never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Rays 62-0 on the road. The victory was just what Bayshore needed coming off of a 42-6 loss in their prior match.
Bayshore's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Judge, who rushed for 64 yards and three touchdowns. LaDavion Johnson was another key contributor, rushing for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
Meanwhile, Lakewood Ranch sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over Gibbs on Friday.
Simon Freed was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown.
Bayshore's win bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Lakewood Ranch, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Bayshore was dealt a bruising 68-0 defeat at the hands of Lakewood Ranch in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Bayshore, Kevin C everhart (who rushed for 69 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
