The Valley View Tigers and the Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Valley View Tigers had to settle for second. Valley View took a serious blow against Mission Veterans Memorial, falling 43-6. Valley View has not had much luck with Mission Veterans Memorial recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
It was another big night for Braden Luedeker, who rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 241 yards and two touchdowns. Luedeker is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Mission Veterans Memorial also got help from Vincent Abrego who showed off his sure hands for 81 receiving yards.
Valley View's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Valley View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mission Veterans Memorial will face off against Pieper at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pieper has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 411 points over their last nine matches.
