If the Mount Morris Blue Devils were riding high off their 49-22 takedown of the Alfred-Almond Eagles on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Mount Morris might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Lima Christian an easy 62-37 victory. Mount Morris was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lima Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.
Alyssa Marsh was a one-man wrecking crew for Lima Christian as she dropped a double-double on 30 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Marsh's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Herring, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Mount Morris' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lima Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Mount Morris will be home for the holidays to greet Naples at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Naples is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Lima Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Rochester Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Rochester Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
