The Atlas HomeSchool R Rattlers will head out on the road to face off against the Community Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Tuesday, Atlas HomeSchool R was beaten by Azle Christian 69-30.
Meanwhile, Community Christian came tearing into Tuesday's match with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Chisholm Trail Academy by a score of 62-50. Given Community Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 366th, while Chisholm Trail Academy is ranked 796th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Community Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josiah Marquez, who scored 22 points. Braden Maness was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds.
Atlas HomeSchool R's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Community Christian, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
