Ocoee and Evans are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Ocoee Knights will get right back to it and host the Evans Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard on Friday.
Ocoee has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 23 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat South Lake 62-14 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-11.
Micah Hannah continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 15 steals. Hannah is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Weiser, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Evans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 56-22 win over Lake Buena Vista on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Evans has managed all season.
Ocoee is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Evans, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.
Everything came up roses for Ocoee against Evans when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 60-18 victory. Does Ocoee have another victory up their sleeve, or will Evans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
