The River View Panthers had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They walked away with a 26-13 win over Columbia. That's another feather in the cap for River View, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
River View found their leader in underclassman Karson Rawlings, who rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns.
River View's victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 7-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points per game. As for Columbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River View will take on Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbia, they will look to defend their home field on October 27th against Tri-Cities Prep at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Tri-Cities Prep is ranked 225th, while Columbia is ranked 204th).
