The Bloomfield Bees will look to defend their home court on Monday against the St. Mary's Cardinals at 6:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bloomfield posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They put the hurt on Chambers/Wheeler Central with a sharp 47-25 victory. The victory was just what Bloomfield needed coming off of a 69-35 defeat in their prior match.
It was another big night for Madison Abbenhaus, who scored 24 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Bloomfield's points. Kora Poppe was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
In what's become a running theme this season, St. Mary's gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They really took it to Santee for the full four quarters, racking up a 80-33 win at home. St. Mary's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
St. Mary's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alissa Brabec led the charge by scoring 24 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Annabelle Barlow, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Bloomfield's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for St. Mary's, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-2.
