After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last six games, Desert View finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Nogales Apaches by a score of 2-1. The Jaguars' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Desert View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yadier Acu?a, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Desert View's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 14-5. As for Nogales, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Desert View will venture away from home to square off against Buena at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nogales, they will head out to take on Walden Grove at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Apaches are facing the Red Wolves at the right time seeing as the Red Wolves are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
