Clare has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on The Petoskey Northmen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clare has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 200 points over their last four contests.
Last Friday, Clare got themselves on the board against Shepherd, but Shepherd never followed suit. They blew past the Bluejays 48-0 at home. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Clare had established a 41 point advantage.
Clare got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Westyn Bryant out in front who rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Clare also got a significant boost from Aiden Van bonn, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.
Meanwhile, Petoskey made easy work of Sault Area on Thursday and carried off a 27-7 win. The result was nothing new for Petoskey, who have now won three games by 20 points or more so far this season.
Clare has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Petoskey, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-3.
