Big North - Liberty recap November 19, 2013
Fans got a thrill when Terry Fraison and Terrence Tate connected against Livingston. The longest such play in Big North - Liberty this season, the connection resulted in 73 yards.
Passaic County Tech took down Hackensack 40-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Thomas Jefferson ran for 218 yards during the win.
Eastside's dynamic duo of Fraison and Tate proved to be unstoppable against the Lancers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fraison threw for 176 yards and 1 touchdown and Tate had 115 yards receiving. Prince Block helped Eastside's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 56 yards.
Jefferson was a passing and rushing force as the Bulldogs topped the Comets. Jefferson's key target this week was Enmanuel Soriano, who caught 2 passes for 21 yards.
Jefferson was a beast in the backfield as Passaic County Tech defeated Hackensack.
The Ghosts' Tajh Upshaw and Block have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-7 quarterback Upshaw has thrown for 1,109 yards this season, while Block has 24 catches for 540 yards. Matt Demarest's team's Jefferson leads the league in rushing yards with 1,827.
The Bulldogs made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,066 from 4,598. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 40-6 victory over Benjie Wimberly's team last week.
