The Bowdon Red Devils kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a serious blow against Rockmart, falling 87-49. Bowdon has struggled against Rockmart recently, as their game on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Rockmart can attribute much of their success to Treylin Davis, who scored 27 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least 25% of Rockmart's points. Trey Luke was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 5 steals.
Bowdon's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Rockmart, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bowdon will take on Mt. Zion at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rockmart, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Heard County at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th.
