Chartiers Valley has gone 9-1 against Upper St. Clair recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Colts will welcome the Panthers at 3:30 p.m. Chartiers Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Chartiers Valley gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Moon Area 11-1. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Delaney O'Connor and Taylor Walsh made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, O'Connor pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Walsh pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. At bat, O'Connor went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double, while Walsh went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave Walsh a new career-high.

In other batting news, Chartiers Valley let Ava Dunlap and Gianna Scalise run wild. Dunlap went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Scalise went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave Scalise a new career-high. Kaitlyn Truong was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Chartiers Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Upper St. Clair was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of West Allegheny.
Upper St. Clair saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Barnard, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Upper St. Clair now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Chartiers Valley, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
Chartiers Valley beat Upper St. Clair 8-4 in their previous matchup on Monday. Will the Colts repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
