The Coral Reef Barracudas will head out on the road to  take on  the Southridge Spartans  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Southridge took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Coral Reef, who comes in off a win.
Coral Reef is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Hialeah  on Tuesday. Coral Reef was the clear victors by  a  10-0 margin over Hialeah. The Barracudas haven't had any issues with the Thoroughbreds recently, as the game was their third consecutive  win against them.

 Adrian Nunez looked comfortable as he  struck out nine batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Those  nine  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high.
 At the plate, Coral Reef got a  massive  performance out of  Willy Vega, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4. Vega also put up two  doubles, which were his first of the season.  Dylan Quinzada was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
 Coral Reef was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .379. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  batting average total in three consecutive  matches.
 Meanwhile, Southridge didn't have quite enough to beat Mater Academy Charter on Tuesday and fell  5-4.
 Southridge now  has a losing record of 2-3. As for Coral Reef, their  victory (their first of the  season) made their record 1-5.
 Coral Reef beat Southridge 4-1  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Coral Reef since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
