Volleyball Recap: Weber Extends Winning Streak to Six

Weber entered their tilt with Clearfield on Tuesday with five consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Falcons. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Weber won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17, 25-22.

Weber's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tesyn Stewart, who had nine digs and two aces. Stewart has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Scarlett Smith, who had eight digs and two aces.

Weber's win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weber will venture away from home to square off against Ridgeline at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clearfield, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Farmington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons are facing the Phoenix at the right time seeing as the Phoenix are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
