Softball Recap: Horicon Has No Trouble Against Lourdes

Horicon got themselves on the board against Lourdes on Friday, but Lourdes never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 16-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Marshmen, who have now won six matches by 15 runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Horicon and bumps their season record up to 7-7. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Lourdes and 1-6 Wayland Academy. As for Lourdes, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Horicon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-3 defeat against West Bend East on the 10th. As for Lourdes, they will face off against Wayland Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights are facing the Big Red at the right time seeing as the Big Red are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
