It was a good run, but the Lititz Christian Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to Veritas Academy. Lititz Christian has not had much luck with Veritas Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Lititz Christian had strong showings from Jack Kriebel, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds, and Eddie Vega, who scored 15 points. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Caeden Harmon, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Lititz Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Veritas Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-3.
Lititz Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Varsity Opponent at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Veritas Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Coventry Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Coventry Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
