The Cardinal O'Hara Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Neumann-Goretti 90-55. Cardinal O'Hara has struggled against Neumann-Goretti recently, as their game on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Neumann-Goretti to victory, but perhaps none more so than Torrey Brooks Jr., who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. That's the first time this season that Brooks Jr. pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Deshawn Yates, who scored 17 points along with seven assists.
Cardinal O'Hara has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Neumann-Goretti, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
Cardinal O'Hara will head out on the road to face off against Archbishop Ryan at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Archbishop Ryan has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 197 points over their last three contests. As for Neumann-Goretti, they will be playing at home against West Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Neumann-Goretti is ranked first).
