The Mountain House Mustangs won the last time they faced the Davis Spartans, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Mountain House took down Davis 63-44. Given Mountain House's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while Davis is ranked 848th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Gabriel Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Pinn, who scored nine points.
Mountain House pushed their record up to 8-5 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 16.33 points. As for Davis, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain House is on the road again on Thursday and play against Clovis North at 6:00 p.m. on January 4th. Clovis North has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,043 points over their last 14 games. As for Davis, they will head out on the road to face off against Lathrop at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
