This season hasn't been kind to the Boyd Christian Broncos, who are still winless after their ninth game. They had to suffer through a rough 66-37 loss at the hands of Sequatchie County.
Beckham Mckendrick was on fire for Sequatchie County: he went 6 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and 3 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Lamonte Kelly, who scored 7 points along with 6 assists.
Boyd Christian's loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-9. As for Sequatchie County, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.
Boyd Christian will play host again and welcome Franklin Classical School, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin Classical School knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Boyd Christian likes a good challenge. As for Sequatchie County, they will head out on the road to face off against Grundy County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Grundy County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
