After both having extra time off, the Dalton Bulldogs and the Waynedale Golden Bears will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Dalton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Newton Falls 3-0.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Dalton was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-6, 25-8.

Chloe Ruehling was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 15 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.
Dalton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Waynedale posted their closest victory since September 11th on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Hillsdale 3-2.
Waynedale took Hillsdale into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 27-25, 18-25, 17-25, 16-14.
Dalton's win bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Waynedale, their victory bumped their record up to 17-8.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Dalton has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.3 aces per game. However, it's not like Waynedale struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
