The Olmsted Owls's and the Cardinal O'Hara Hawks's game on Friday was close at halftime, but the Olmsted Owls turned on the heat in the second half with 43 points. Olmsted blew past Cardinal O'Hara 69-49.
Cardinal O'Hara's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cannon Dotson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. Kels Ivey was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 8 rebounds.
Olmsted's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Cardinal O'Hara, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Olmsted will head out on the road to face off against The Park School of Buffalo at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cardinal O'Hara, they will take on Math Science Tech Prep at Seneca at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
