Karns and Sevier County are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2015, but not for long. Both teams will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Karns will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 199th, while Sevier County is ranked 41st).
Last Saturday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Karns had to settle for a 52-50 loss against Halls.
Meanwhile, Sevier County didn't have too much trouble with Morristown-Hamblen West on the road on Friday as they won 56-41. The win made it back-to-back wins for Sevier County.
Karns has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Sevier County, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
Karns was dealt a bruising 71-42 defeat at the hands of Sevier County in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Karns avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
