Van Meter won the last time they faced West Central Valley, and things went their way on Friday, too. Van Meter were the clear victor by a 35-14 margin over West Central Valley. Followers of Van Meter probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected five blowout victories.
Van Meter's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 35 first-half points. Meanwhile, West Central Valley couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 35-0 heading into the break. Van Meter were outperformed in the second half 0-14 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the win. The victory bumped their record up to 6-0. The loss dropped West Central Valley's record to 1-5.
Van Meter will be playing at home against Panorama at at 7:00 PM next week. Unlike Van Meter, Panorama will be limping in after taking a loss. As for West Central Valley, they will face off against Guthrie Center/Adair-Casey.
