Wamogo Regional and Terryville are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Wamogo Regional Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Terryville Kangaroos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wamogo Regional is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Wamogo Regional posted their closest victory yet this season on Thursday. They skirted past Thomaston 64-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wamogo Regional to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anthony Turtoro, who scored 21 points along with five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Turtoro has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Delello, who scored 17 points.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Terryville's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. Their tough 79-59 defeat to Nonnewaug might stick with them for a while. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Wamogo Regional has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Terryville, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2.
Wamogo Regional took their win against Terryville in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 57-36. With Wamogo Regional ahead 31-11 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
