Basketball Recap: Bonneville Sets Scoring Season-High Against Northridge

Bonneville scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Northridge Knights by a score of 54-51. The Lakers haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Several Lakers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Baya Jimenez, who went 10 for 18 en route to 24 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Jimenez has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. Charity Mcdonald was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Karlee Mayfield continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Northridge, dropping a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Mayfield a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Izabel Kap, who posted nine points along with eight boards and three steals.

Bonneville's record is now 5-11. As for Northridge, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.

Bonneville has already played their next contest, a 49-42 defeat against Woods Cross on the 24th. As for Northridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-37 loss against Clearfield on the 24th.
