Everglades hasn't had much luck against Cypress Bay recently, but that could start to change  on Wednesday. The Everglades Gators will venture away from home to  take on the Cypress Bay Lightning  at 6:30  p.m.
Everglades is headed into Wednesday's   match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game  on Tuesday. They fell  7-3 to Coral Springs.
 Everglades saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Alex Ramirez, who  scored a  run and  stole  Two bases. while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Cypress Bay, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Wednesday. They walked away with  a   6-2  victory over South Plantation  on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Cypress Bay also got a great performance from  Carson Cook as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. Cypress Bay is 2-1 when  Cook allowsone or  fewer  hits, but 2-3 otherwise.
 At the plate, Cypress Bay let  Santiago Sanchez and  Marshall Persteins run wild. Sanchez  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances, while  Persteins  went 1-for-2 with three  RBI and one  double. The dominant performance gave  Persteins a new career-high in  RBI.  Diego Baron was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with one  triple and two  RBI.
 The  win  got Cypress Bay back to even at 4-4. As for Everglades, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
 Everglades couldn't quite finish off Cypress Bay in their previous meeting  back in March of 2023 and fell  6-4. Can Everglades avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
